The ‘Videosync Master’ plug-in gives you feedback about the connection between Videosync and Ableton. When it does not display ‘Connected’, it tries to give you as much feedback as possible. Below you can find a list with possible solutions for connection errors.
Not Connected
- Make sure the Videosync application is running.
- Restart Videosync and Ableton Live.
- Restart your computer.
Refreshing
- Make sure you’re running the latest Ableton version.
- Make sure ‘Max’ isn’t running.
- Restart Videosync and Ableton Live.
- Restart your computer.
Control Surface not connected
- Make sure the ‘Videosync Control Surface’ is installed and enabled in the Ableton preference window.
- Restart Videosync and Ableton Live.
- Restart your computer.
Master plug-in not connected
- Restart Videosync and Ableton Live.
- Restart your computer.
Control Surface version mismatch
- Reinstall the latest Control Surface from your download. Follow the instructions here.
- Restart Videosync and Ableton Live.
- Restart your computer.
Master plug-in version mismatch
- Replace the current ‘Videosync Master’ plug-in by the latest version in your download.
- Restart Videosync and Ableton Live.
- Restart your computer.
